Milano Biofilm Meeting 2015 Implantables and Infection Control: a Promising Future?

On June 19th to 21st, 2015 the Milano Biofilm Meeting has been held at the Hub Hotel in Milan.

The Workshop European Project IDAC n. 277988 has been held inside the Milano Biofilm Meeting with the patronage of EXPO 2015.

This meeting was the international scientific workshop concerning the results of the European project IDAC related to in vivo studies performed in WP2 (Post prototype laboratory testing) and  inWP3 (Human testing).

The workshop was organized with a view of the real situation regarding the problem of implant-related infections in orthopaedics and the Project IDAC results. It was structured in 2 sessions: Rationale and pre-clinical data (1); Results of the clinical experiences in prosthetic and trauma surgery of the involved centers (2).

The high turnout at the workshop showed the huge interest of the orthopaedic surgeons for the problem of implant-related infections in orthopaedics and trauma surgery and a scientific opportunity of disseminating the achieved project results. [PROGRAM]
